issues with channel changing

I seem to be having some trouble with the channel changing on my setup. I've gone through and double checked all the setup steps again and it seems to be ok, my ddns and port forwarding are working ok.
Alexa tells me she cant find the channel after a while and then will not work again after that. I initially managed to get it working by deleting my sky box from the alexa app, disabling the skill then re-enabling it and then discovering the sky box.
This worked for a while but then the same thing again happened after leaving it a while.
Have tried the same procedure but this time it hasn't worked?
Not sure how to go about checking what is wrong with this or if its a problem on my end?
