Location column causes issues when filled

Closed this issue · 1 comments

For survey forms, the location column still exists, but doesn't appear to be used (since of course the point of survey forms is that there are many submissions for one 'location'). The user however can still submit data to the location column and save it. The data saved does not show up there, but appears to populate the pie charts on the dashboard. Not sure if that's indicative of an underlying issue with what data is being fed into the dashboard.

The likely possible solutions would be one of the following:

  1. Ignore/don't save any data entered into the location column for survey forms
  2. Make it so that you can't even select the location column for survey forms
  3. Remove the location column entirely for survey forms

My initial instinct is for option #2, but I could see a case for any of the three options.

Confirming that the removal of the location column does not seem to have caused any problems for checklists with data conflict turned off
