You may still have trouble, but here are some tips:

  1. Use: pip install git+git://github.com/newsapps/beeswithmachineguns.git

  2. If your bees are not connecting, note that bees report running doesn't mean ready. Check your AWS console and make sure the "status checks" are not initializing. Something changed and the AMI needs several (5?) minutes to boot now.

  3. It may not make a difference, but I ended up with us-east-1e

  4. My python version was: 2.7.6

Are issues the right place to inform this? Shouldn't this be in the documentation?
