The last blurbs about gen3 and libnfc was 4 years ago. Should I just bite the bullet and buy a proxmark3? I think I have what is a gen3 card and none of the CUID or gen1 methods seem to work on this. The last blurb is so old it suggested to manually enable static bool magic2 in utils/nfc-mfclassic.c but that line no longer exists and neither does magic3

The answer is: yes. Can confirm Proxmark3 is so much more usable despite also being open source.
