Release and versioning mechanism

Now that we have most of the specification laid out. We should think about versioning and releasing specific, referentiable states.

Easiest way would be to just use the GitHub release mechanism. As there is no build-process or anything comparable necessary, doing this manually might be sufficient.

Alternatively/Additionally, (also to not be 100% reliant on GitHub) we could setup a release notes files to keep track of the changes. The downside would be that this probably requires some computational assistance (script file or something similar) that might clutter the now very slim repository.
