Broken conversion of SVG icons from materialdesignicons.com

I'm a gentledev i:
- fully read the README recently
- searched for existing issues
- checked i'm up to date with the latest version of the project
Expected behavior
Draw SVGs from https://materialdesignicons.com the same way as Inkscape and earlier FontForge version.
Actual behavior
SVG drawing is "broken"
Steps to reproduce the behavior
Having a similar issue as #90 (it might even be the same?): many SVG files from https://materialdesignicons.com produce weird results.
Steps to reproduce:
1.) Visit https://materialdesignicons.com/icon/account-multiple-outline (many other icons suffer from the same issue)
2.) Download the "Icon Package" ".SVG for Grunt Webfont" and ".SVG Optimized" (they give different results in step 3, but both are "incorrect")
3.) Open http://nfroidure.github.io/svgiconfont/ and add the two SVG files
You can open the SVGs with Inkscape to see the desired result or simply view the preview on the materialdesignicons page
Most likely the same issue as I reported here: fontforge/fontforge#3790
For my usecase, this issue is fixed
