Handling a situation where host required authentication

When in a case where host resource server needs authentication or validation its obvious we should pass the various options with http request.
However since the current http.get of this package method doesn't get configured with any options, Is it good idea to implement that feature?

The idea behind is that the API is public or a simple file inside your project that can be loaded from webpack.
I don't think that translates need to be protected.
