Currency support for different countries

Opened this issue · 2 comments

Hey,

I recently started using your iOS App, but I run into a minor issue when creating new transactions. I am living in Germany. Our currency format is like this 1.234,56 €. When I fill out the Amount field in the New transaction form, my keyboard only offers the comma and not a dot. Using the comma results in an error as the amount appears to be invalid.

My current workaround: I start writing in the Description field and copy the number with a proper dot into the Amount field, but this is somehow unpleasant.

Also, each transaction is displayed with a $ sign instead of a € sign, even though my imported accounts indicate that the currency in use is EUR. This is just a matter of looks as I couldn't find any real issue with importing the transactions into the desktop version of GnuCash.

Thanks for the App. If I can help you in any way, let me know.

I have the same problem and I live in Italy.

Thanks for the feedback! I don't actively work on this project often, so apologies for the long delay in response. Unfortunately, flutter doesn't provide an easy means for a localized number input. I've attempted to address these concerns in #5, but I'll need to do some internal testing before releasing.
