Safari Image Opening Issue

I currently have my images in a gallery. On Safari iOS, when I tap to open an image after previously closing the image viewer, nothing happens. Below is an example.
- I tap on an image
- It opens
- I close the view
- I tap on another image
- Nothing happens
- I tap again
- The viewer opens up but the image is zoomed in
It's not a very big problem but it would by nice if it didn't keep happening.
