The java installation method mentioned is not working anymore.
brew cask install homebrew/cask-versions/java8
You can refer to the given stackoverflow answer to find a proper way to solve the issue.

For Elastic you don't need to install java anymore - because the elastic packet brings an OpenJDK with it.
