Discrepancy in how 'rename' to same name works in a314fs

AmigaDOS is fine with renaming a file to the same name it already has, example:
3.Ram Disk:> rename test test
Same command in a314fs causes an error:
3.PiDisk:> rename test test
Can't rename test as test because object already exists

Same when attempting to rename using Workbench.
