I set up a minimum page, and it seems to work fine in all major browsers...except edge. When clicking an image, it zooms in correctly, but when zooming out all other content is gone from the webpage.

yikes, would love to look at a reproducible code sample! (even if it's not the minimal code required to reproduce it)

This library demo not work in Microsoft Edge 41.16299.15.0 (last version)

Thanks for the reports. I haven't been actively maintaining this package, but I'm willing to merge PRs quickly.

The master branch and version 3.1.0 is no longer maintained. If the issue exists in the v4 branch, please feel free to either reopen this issue or create a new one. The expected browser compatibility for version 4 is described in the README:
