Local usage still communicates with the heroku server

After creating an account, trying to add an item silently fails. Refreshing, I just get the lightning bolt. Looking at the console:

Looks like it's trying to use a server. Should I be using this without logging in?

I need to get around to fixing the client-server api.

If you clear your localstorage and then choose the Use Nitro Without an Account option, everything should be ok.
