Sidebar & Navbar loses state when page is refreshed

When the page is the sidebar and navbar lose state and revert to the default list, while the page stays correctly stays on the list it was on.

Steps to reproduce

• Select a list from the sidebar thats not the default list
• Notice the nav & side bar are updated to match the selected list
• Refresh the page, now the nav and side bar incorrectly revert to the default list, as can be seen in the screen shot below.

Expected Behaviour

• After refreshing the page, the nav bar still shows the correct list
• After refreshing the page, the side bar still shows the correct list
