What errors can be thrown?

Following up on a request from @evanlucas when he prompted "what could be better about the nodejs documentation"

I suggested - knowing what errors can be thrown. This error documentation would be around any core API or object.

I'm not sure where to begin or how it should even be presented, but will leave this issue open for discussion.
