We just worked out a fix for getting cytoscape and SPADE working out of R on PC's but have run into a snag on Mac's, at least those running Maverick.  When I attempt to update SPADE I get the following error message:

I attempted to install it as a package using the package manager, but I get a number of missing dependencies. Installing these individually does not seem to help. Any suggestions? Everything works fine for me running R 3.1.1 on a windows 7 box so this seems to be Mac specific.

@johnquinn do you still need assistance with this? I just updated the installation instructions in the readme, which might avoid this problem.
