problems setting volume message : where to find explanations

Hello,

I use YMPD thru max2play distrib on Raspberry PI 3.
When I want to change the volume from YMPD, I get "problems setting volume" error message, but I have no other informations.

• is there a log file that contain details on errors ?
• what I have to do to enable such a log file ?
• where such a log file can be found ?

I suppose I have a max2play configuration problem, but I have no way to identify it, so I start by the MPD.

SOLVED.
Found /var/log/mpd/mpd.log with readable messages.
