Requesting support for a New stable tested release of notary based on v1 specification, due to the following reasons:

Majorly, Notary v2, which is the next updated specification, is being developed and is in the alpha stage of development with v0.10.0-alpha.

  1. Last release happened https://github.com/notaryproject/notary/releases/tag/v0.6.1 happened approx 4 years ago on 11 Apr 2018
  2. Still, Docker CLI and many other projects are using Notary v1
  3. Many changes were merged to master but not tested, tagged, and released.
  4. Many Pull requests are already opened with changes but are pending for merge.
