After installing Neorg using the kickstart method, neovim gets an unreadable color scheme.

Hi, I recently installed Neorg using the kickstart method given in the README. Post installation, the text in neovim has been turned into a dark red which is very unreadable. I have attached a screenshot of the color scheme below. Can anyone please help in fixing this ?
