rc522 blocks execution of other code

Opened this issue · 6 comments

The Demo code does run and it echos the RFIDs on the screen.
However when I try to combine it with other functions, it seems to block the other code. Is this supposed to do so? How do I prevent this blocking?

Did you find a solution for the problem?

Hello, I am sorry, I'll looking a solution this next week and fix this.

Meanwhile I use rc522-rfid-promise successfuly. Tested on RPI 1 model B and RPI 3 model B.
https://www.npmjs.com/package/rc522-rfid-promise
Good luck!

The rc522-promise also works but the problem is that it closes after
each read.
Yours keep reading and is exactly what i need.

Trying to send a request to an external php file and run the card id
through mysql.
Works fine alone but when combined with your rc522 module nothing returns :(

Try change the path "rc522/build/Release/rc522" to "rc522".
Could you check and inform?

When using var rc522 = require("rc522"); it works like a charme!
Tested on Rasp 3 in conjunction with mysql, onoff and bleno.
Thank you very much!
