How to integrate carplay ui in my app?

I have an existing music player app, i have followed all the steps and my app is now showing in the carplay simulator ,but when i click on my app the app closed and nothing shows on carplay , so i was wondering do i need to make the whole ui again with CP widgets or is the existing ui will be used for carplay .
