Allow Players to check their playtime

make a /playtime command that outputs a players time on the server in a readable format for them. This can sort of be tracked from the client via the statistics menu but will clear if they switch computers or reinstall minecraft.

Can you show evidence it changes when they switch computers or reinstall minecraft? I have tried this myself and it still shows the same playtime.

The server sends the statistics data (including playtime) to the client when they press the Statistics button. The client does not track it themselves and therefore it does not change when they switch computers or reinstall Minecraft.

Not trying to insult you. It just seemed like you had no desire to help and just replied with "prove it" instead of looking into it. I just had a player join the other day that had been offline for nearly a year. Jlhis statistics were set to 0 playtime but ranks registered him as being able to rank up twice. Which is 12 hours of play time. Essentials has a seperate tracking option with /whois but that also shows city and ip address so i cant give that to players.

That's such a weird response. It's the PLUGIN that should track player time and hence you that should code it. Or we would have to code a better plugin that's for sure. It should be working from within the plugin.
