How to update existing database with another osm extract

Hello,

How do I update an existing database with data for another extract. That way, I can have data for say Portugal and Angola coexisting in the same database.

I haven't used this tool in a while but as far as I remember, it is possible. Use the -appendcache option when reading extracts. For this to work though, cache from your previous export must still be available.
