This looks like a cool and easy way to document, but i can not figure out how to set it up. If you have time, can you help me setup an example project or just the basics on getting started?

I have got it up and running, but how do you define new categories and nest objects under that and define page content for the different objects

Please learn what the product is and isn’t. This isn’t not intended to create documents quickly in the traditional sense, for it is generated using docstring, since you referred to nest objects, they can also be readme files, etc. You have to coordinate the layout of your site in the docma.config.json file. Take a look at some examples on GitHub.
