Second monitor not working in offload mode

Opened this issue · 2 comments

I am using Dell 7530 with Intel UHD P630 + Nvidia Quadro P3200 on Leap 15.4 with KDE Plasma 5.24
Nvidia-settings sees connected monitor, but xrandr doesn't show it. At the same time, rendering through nvidia works. The monitor does not work with both G05 and G06 drivers. Updating suse-prime to 0.8.14 did not help.
When I switch to Nvidia, the monitor works.
Also, the GPU widget in KDE Plasma with the G05 driver in offload mode shows data about the GPU, but with G06 it does not show anything.
I had the same problem in Leap 15.3

I don't know if this applies to suse-prime, but with the G06 driver, when switching to Intel mode, the screen remains black, Plasma does not start.
To fix this, you need to install the G05 driver, switch to nvidia and intel modes, remove the driver and then install G06.

Thanks for the report. Hope I can reproduce this with my Thinkpad P15. For now I suggest to work in nvidia mode and the driver series that works for you. Not sure if this is G05 or G06 . And forget about intel or offload mode for now.

Unfortunately, I can't forget the offload mode, because with it I have more dedicated video memory for video editing and the laptop is quieter in this mode.
