Stop supporting old Ruby versions

I would like to stop supporting Ruby 2.2 and 2.3 to be able to use Ruby method introduced in newer Ruby versions. Otherwise the code will get old.

now that 2.3 is not longer supported I think this makes even more sense. @cornelius can I go ahead? 🤔
