Dunno if this even qualifies as a bug since you seem to be aware of it but anyway.
I am running OpenATV 5.3 nighly on a Vu+ Solo4k
Now got myself a UHD TV and wanted to change MyMetrix resolution to Ultra HD
I recalled seeing the option (under Others) will initially deploying OpenATV on this box a few months ago (when i didn't bother testing it since i didn't need it anyway) and now its no longer available.
Looking through the source you are currently removing the option during init along with the comment:

if '2' in skinmodes[-1]: del skinmodes[-1]#
###########################################Probably due to the fact that enigma will ultimately crash will doing the resolution test:

</openATV>Now if i ignore the resolution test and just let MyMetrix apply the resolution and rewrite its config files all skin elements are totally out of proportion, everything is so big that only the weather info gets drawn withing the visible screen space will being 5x of its original size.
