! Before you log an issue, have you updated to the most recent version? It's possible the issue may have already been fixed.
Yes
Describe the bug / Actual behaviour:
OSD disappears for remainder of setup process at selection of a different refresh rate
Expected behaviour:
Full OSD should not disappear, next step of wizard should be shown on screen.
Has this issue started to happen just recently?
Yes, a couple of days ago
To reproduce:
Steps to reproduce the behaviour:
Following image flash, the video setup wizard prompts for:
- HDMI/Jack (select HDMI)
- Use auto mode? (select Yes)
- Select a refresh rate (1080p)*
- Select a resolution (video mode), then see the refresh rate screen (multi/50Hz/60Hz).
- OSD disappears, intermittently blanking as the LCD shows multi/50Hz/60Hz being cycled through - TV shows either "No signal or just the openATV backdrop remains
Screenshots
Screenshots are incredibly helpful; if possible, please attach to help explain your problem.
Image/Box Model (please complete the following information):
- Version: 7.4
- BoxModel: mut@nt HD51
Additional context
I haven't changed TV or cabling.
This TV normally shows "Unsupported mode", but in this case shows "No Signal", and on previous versions of openATV has shown that it has detected 1080p @60Hz
*1080p is the only resolution affected, as far as I can see
Changing to 1080i 50Hz (guided by LCD) after boot results in a display showing alternate black horizontal bars with display blanking every 2 seconds - fixed by a full reboot (OSD restart is not enough)
Possibly related to debug commands (specifically screen geometry) being shown during restore process recently?
i test here 7.7 image hd51 all ok, no osd issue connect to full hd, and second test connect to 4k tv
Further testing shows the issue occurs when booting into PiP mode
