About the problem that IOS server cannot be connected

elegantflamingo22 opened this issue · 8 comments

My IOS cannot be connected to other devices in the intranet after the service is turned on. How should I set it?

Maybe your router/firewall?

Sorry, does the ios firewall need to be jailbroken before it used?

App is showing an IP address after running?
You cannot access the URL from other devices right?
Usually this might be an issue with your local network.
Check your local network firewall.

These are two pictures of my connection failure, and how can I set up a firewall on the iOS side?

Client and Server should be on the same network. Typically, when accessing the IP Address from other devices on the same network, the speed test page will load. However, your specific setup may vary, as your PC may have antivirus or firewall rules that could potentially block such connections.

To test the connection, you can install the OpenSpeedTest-Server on your PC and attempt to access it from other devices. However, please note that if you are running a firewall on your router, it could potentially block the connection. While I have not personally encountered any issues like this, I am curious to see if you can identify and resolve this issue.

I can use the iPhone to access the openspeedtest of the Windows client on the same network segment, but I can’t access it when I use the iPhone to start openspeedtest. My suspicion is that the port is opened on the iOS side. Maybe it's necessary to jailbreak the phone?

@elegantflamingo22 It worked perfectly on my sister's iPhone without a jailbreak.

I'm not sure what went wrong in your situation.

Maybe because I'm in China, hah
