What platform are you on? Last time I tested (which WAS a while ago), groveling works in linux (x64, x32) and windows (w/ either cygwin or msys/mingw).
Also fair warning, I may not have the time to dig into this right now, but feel free to open a pull request agains cl-libuv if you find a solution. Thanks!

Maybe upgrade your SBCL? It could be bundled with an old version of cffi-grovel or something.
