Hello, I'm new to the Ostro project. While waiting for my Galileo to show up from Mouser, I tried to fire up the virtual appliance.
VirtualBox 5.1.2 r108956
OS X 10.11.6
I am getting exact same issue with other image as well. https://download.ostroproject.org/releases/ostro-os-xt/milestone/v1.0.0/images/intel-corei7-64/ostro-xt-image-noswupd-intel-corei7-64-2016-08-13_13-03-59-build-170.dsk.ova
VirtualBox Version 5.0.26 r108824
Windows 7 Host
We have seen this in some combination of host OS and VirtualBox (we had reported this in the release notes - at the bottom: https://github.com/ostroproject/ostro-os-xt/releases/tag/v1.0.0
The Virtualbox* appliance generates exceptions due to unknown instructions
Loading and booting a Virtualbox OVA appliance for Ostro OS XT results in a failure to boot in some environments. This usually happens with systemd
crashing while attempting to execute an unknown instruction. This does not happen on all combinations of host OS and host hardware so switching to a different host environment may help.
Unfortunately, we do not have any solution to this at the moment.
