Disable emdash conversion in inline code mark

Is there any chance we could get this feature turned off when editing code-formatted text? As-is, when typing command line flags (eg. `--flag`) the double-dash will get converted to an emdash automatically, which is quite annoying. I would not expect pre-formatted text blocks to have any automatic character conversion.
