After minimizing, app window won't resurface

App appears to work great, until i minimize it.
When i minimize the app, it's icon remains in systray, but when i click on it (no matter which mouse button), just the context menu pops up.
When i click on Open or Minimize, nothing happens.
When i click on Close, the app closes.
When i open the exe file again i get the window back.
If the previous instance is still running at that time, i get a second icon in systray.
What gives?
I remember i had the same problem with the clockify app, i had to resort to using keyboard shortcuts to reopen the window.
I'm running on Windows 10 Enterprise 22H2 - Build 19045.4529
Ok, i guess i ran into false assumptions here, as in, the app doesn't minimize to systray at all.
The app still remains on the normal windows taskbar, which i didn't notice because the window was on a second screen and the taskbar is hidden.
