/uploadtolink returns 500 on partially uploaded, /renamefile not working on videos

beyond that, if I try to /renamefile the partially uploaded videos, it is not overwriting the old.
the bug is critical, our iOS client released has a function to re-try /uploadtolink if errors ( one video has been uploaded 600+ times over one night ). and our server will kindly move the files to an upper level folder. (/renamefile not working properly then it keeps adding (n+1) suffix)
