Once we have #2, it's probably reasonable to let the user configure the anchors' indexing to be 0-based or 1-based.

While this looks like overkill, it's crucial for the user to be comfortable and able to instantly parse the ancor names.

Meh, tbh this is probably just overkill. Let's shelve this unless there's people really needing it.
