Is it somehow possible to bring back support for PHP5? Unfortunately, I only have php5 available on my webserver. I really like this project and it would be great, if I could get the latest features.
you can use the old version.

Exactly :)
there is in the readme.md how to create a release by hand, then tag it , delete the unnecessary files and upload the zipped release.
Great, thanks for that information! Is it ok for you, if i make another fork, that keeps the PHP5 support?
yes, of course.
actually, i am wrong, i updated everything on it, i think it might be hard to fix it.
sorry!
composer, all the latest :(
but gitter is upgraded as well..
what server do you have? how came you cannot use php 7???
even my router has php7 :)
I'm not sure, if I can follow your statements. What might be hard to fix? I got it perfectly working locally.
