When I open the app it automatically goes into Drawing mode and stays there.

So when I open the app it goes into drawing mode automatically and it will not come out of that mode. When I mouse over the text a small circle appears. Sometimes it will even be on the "draw" menu option. When I go to click on something it draws lines and I also cannot highlight or type. I can get it to type by switching to eraser mode and then clicking type, but the eraser mode will stay on preventing me from highlighting.

The system I am using this on is an Asus Chromebook Flip CM3401FF with chromeOS, android, and Debian bookworm installed with the newest p3x-onenote installed from a .Deb. This Chromebook comes with an option to install Linux sandboxed in the settings under the developers option and that installs Debian bookworm minimal/headless.

One thing to note though, this app works better than expected with a stylus! Also the issue mentioned above may be due to using the app on an Asus Chromebook and the mousepad it uses, but I could be wrong.

i do not have a stylus, so i cannot change it, but for some people it works. no idea how to fix it...

it is not related to onenote, it is most like of the operating system environment.

Yeah, I suspect it is due to the track pad/mouse on many of the Chromebooks. There is no right clicking but instead you need to use gestures (two fingers to scroll, hold with one finger while tapping with the other finger to open a right click menu, etc) but I thought I would post about it just in case. However, with a stylus you can click and get the right click menu, so a stylus actually works well, you can highlight easily with it to.

thanks for your comment!
