Colorscheme works in gui but not terminal?

Hello, I've installed your plugin using vundle, and turned on the colorscheme. It appears to work correctly in the gui version of vim, but I don't get any colors at all in the terminal version (but also don't get an error message). I've checked, and echo colors_name shows "vim-monokai-tasty` in both cases.
OS: Linux Mint 19.2
Terminal: default
Vim: 8.1
