No startup sound script fails

When I run
bash mtgo-no-startupsound.sh

i get the following error:
Error: no StateStore_RandomString in registry
Does anyone know how I can fix this?

you need to run mtgo.exe at least once to initialize everything properly

Unfortunately I don't have a good wifi connection for the following weeks so I can't try it out...
