Tippy is a tip calculator application for iOS.
Submitted by: Pavel Savva
Time spent: 13 hours spent in total
The following required functionality is complete:
- User can enter a bill amount, choose a tip percentage, and see the tip and total values.
The following optional features are implemented:
- Settings page to change the default tip percentage.
- UI animations
- Remembering the bill amount across app restarts (if <10mins)
- Using locale-specific currency and currency thousands separators.
- Making sure the keyboard is always visible and the bill amount is always the first responder. This way the user doesn't have to tap anywhere to use this app. Just launch the app and start typing.
The following additional features are implemented:
- Add a light/dark color theme to the settings view. In viewWillAppear, update views with the correct theme colors.
- Add animations to your UI
- The Tip calculator has a very primitive UI. Feel free to play with colors, layout, or even modify the UI to improve it.
- Add app icon
- Change app name to Tippy (from tippy)
- Add an option to change the default tip percentages
- Add an option to split the bill between x people
- Add a splash screen that get displayed when there are no saved last bills (or they are expire)
Here's a walkthrough of implemented user stories

command.
In the project set up screen I had to make sure to create a Storyboard and not a SwiftUI project.
