bug: Unable to set URLs as object name
candidexmedia opened this issue · 1 comments
Steps To Reproduce
- Paste an image
- Copy a URL
- Attempt to rename that image's name as the URL by pasting
Expected behavior
URL is set as name
Actual behavior
Attempting to paste https://www.candide.media/
doesn't work until I remove the extra space at the end, and then it converts the title to this:
https: / www.candide.media

Additional context
I use the object name as a way to keep track of where my inspo images are sourced from, since there isn't a consistent way to tracing an image back to its origin (comments are only tied to the location within the artboard, and not tied to an actual object).
Hi @candidexmedia,
At the moment this is not supported, but I have created an enhancement in our backlog so that we can look into this possibility in the future. You can find the details on Taiga here: https://tree.taiga.io/project/penpot/issue/7586
