The as1 feed should use the mime-type application/stream+json instead of application/json.

I'm not wild about this, mostly because browsers don't recognise this mime-type, and try to download it as a file, instead of displaying it in browser.

Yes that's true but we have similar problems with rss feeds and for example the safari browser. I think the mime-type should be the same as the type used in the discovery-link. Are there really "normal" people who looks at these files in the browser? If you need application/json for a better debugging you could overwrite it through a filter anyways.

Good point. Let's put it in, and see what happens when we do the core patch.
