Improve control of script output verbosity

There is still a lot of unnecessary script output to the log when verbosity level is set to 0. This causes the log to be very difficult to read and may even cause it to exceed the 4 MB maximum limit in some cases. The script should output not much more than the compilation output when verbosity level is set to 0.
