Migrate CI from travis to github actions

Please be aware travis-ci.org will be shutting down in several weeks, with all accounts migrating to travis-ci.com. Please stay tuned here for more information.
I guess that makes the decision easy. I'm not keen to find another third party CI system that might disappear in a few years, github actions it is.
