Thanks for your suggestion. Unfortunately, because of minimum API levels, adding a Themed icon would require the app to no longer support Android versions older than 8.0 (it currently supports 4.4+). For this project I am prioritizing device support over using features that are introduced in newer Android versions. I hope you understand.
