Map display of filtered entries

I would appreciate a feature to display some entries by a certain filter (e.g. zip code, city, etc) in the Google map.

There is a possibility in the Locations module to do that (I assume it is done by this plugin: http://code.zikula.org/locations/browser/trunk/pntemplates/plugins/function.locationsGoogleMapsOverview.php

Maybe something like this could be integrated in the future.
