Labelling on volcano plots

Clicking the 'label' box on volcano plots does not trigger labels. It does work on e.g. MA plots, which may help with debugging

"Show labels" on the various plots should be accompanied by an option of how many points to label. Labeling all make the plots unreadable.

How would you propose to select which points to label? Currently the idea is that you adjust the filters on fold change and turn on labels if there are a manageable number of selected points. I don't know how to reliably pick a subset of points to label otherwise.
