Please do not highjack issues form other users.

First and foremost please read the docs: https://pivpn.io
Please read the README specially this part: https://github.com/pivpn/pivpn#feedback--support

The answer for that git issue is actually there: https://docs.pivpn.io/faq/#what-about-octopi

When you create an issue you are prompted with details in the issue creation

@4s3ti If your answer addressed to me than:

I don't know what is OctoPi and I don't want to read anything about this. Your faq doesn't say anything about git or ubuntu 22 problems in first place. And I don't know how should I find smth about my problem if I even do not get any reasonable error from script. I installed before using this script on the same server (may be ubuntu image was 20 not 22) without any problems about year ago. It is clean image from provider without any custom settings. My opinion - how this should work:

  1. Script should give some error instead of hanging forever after the label "Installing"
  2. FAQ should contain some common problems \ answers
  3. Even if FAQ contains the same answer for another question, I think it should be duplicated or renamed, because problem is git and not "octopi"

But the main problem is 1.

AND I already read the docs year ago and I know what I need to do - I don't want to re-read the docs from zero every time I starting this script, so plz don't advise me this anymore. Instead of closing issue try to understand the reason this issue happened, and how to prevent this in future.

@SriramKeerthi thank you, I already installed wireguard manually, but I appreciate your answer.

@4s3ti Apologies, I misread the output from @AuthorProxy's error, assuming it was the same issue. I didn't realise the script was failing at a similar location with a slightly different error. I have removed my answer.

@AuthorProxy you're right about the output of the script not being descriptive. Apologies for any confusion caused.

@AuthorProxy unfortunately the person with the octopi issue deleted its comment.

Let me tell you how this should work:

  1. you need support, you follow the rules on the README as simple as that. if you refuse to read them and provide what we request on the issue template, then there is no way we can help you.
  2. Pull requests are always very welcome! if you have suggestions to improve the docs we accept them there as well! here's the repo: https://github.com/pivpn/docs
