Name of ambient vars

Control on validity of ambient vars seems to be too strict. For example, LC_CTYPE issues a warning because it contains an underscore. Should this check be relaxed? Many images issue this warning.

Please, provide a steps to reproduce. Seems your problem may be related to the base image, which is ubuntu.

Can't reproduce anymore, it may be indeed related to the specific image but can't find one that issues the warning.

I suggest to close the issue and reopen if further evidence or reproduction steps are provided.
