Audiobook version of the book?
Opened this issue · 7 comments
It would be really wonderful if there was an audio version of the book! I know it is an evolving project and that things will be added over time, but having an audiobook version of the core chapters would be really nice and add another layer of accessibility and onramps for folks who might want to dip their toe into the ⿻ space on their daily commute or dog walk!
It wouldn't be ideal, but the ElevenLabs text-to-speech AI is pretty good these days, although there are tons of options. I don't think it would cost that much to get a fairly professional-sounding version out there across different platforms.
Anyway, as someone who is in the car a lot, I'd love to see this come to fruition!
In progress now! We are trying to have community members send in samples and have a synthesized common voice read it all. If you want to help, let us know!

I'd love to! How are y'all recording?
Can we discuss either on Discord (join here: https://discord.gg/YtPWveuz) or email (glen@plurality,net)? If you are up for this, I will fund it with ⿻1,000,000 so if you and someone else can do it together you'll become leading contributors to the project. Catch is that deadline is May 10 or so.
